What to expect
Before beginning your first massage session, I will ask you to complete a brief, confidential intake form. This is so we can discuss any medical issues, as well as your specific needs that day.
You can choose between several aromatherapy massage oil / body butter blends or unscented oil.
When our intake session is complete, I step out of the room to wash my hands and give you privacy while you undress to your level of comfort. I will keep you appropriately draped at all times with a sheet and warm blanket.
During the massage, I will often ask for your feedback to ensure that I am meeting your needs. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you want anything at all to change.
For example, you might want more or less pressure in a particular area, or you may need me to adjust your position on the table or change the choice of music. My priority is for you to be as comfortable as possible.
If we continue to work together on a regular basis, please update me on any new health issues. Massage can be a potent treatment, and certain conditions are contraindicated for massage therapy
For specific information about my safety precautions surrounding COVID-19, clink the link below. I will do everything I can to make our time together as safe as possible.
Before and after your massage
Try not to eat a large meal right before receiving a massage.
After the massage, drink plenty of water.
If possible, have a hot bath with Epsom salts after your session.
Give yourself ample time to enjoy the benefits of the work. After the session, you are liable to feel like a wet noodle may not want to plan anything stressful or strenuous.
